Vadim Peretokin

Overview

Having obtained a Healthcare Informatics degree in Canada, Vadim started his career in Australia 9 years ago doing clinical modelling work with openEHR and CDA, and building out the specification publication pipeline based all in XML, XQuery, and XSLT. Coming across spark of FHIR back in 2015, he quickly dived into it and started teaching it within the organisation, running national connectathons, building the interactive platforms such as https://fhir-drills.github.io and https://fhir-formats.github.io.

He took his expertise to Europe afterwards and for the next 5 years consulted across Scandinavia, Benelux, and US on everything from modelling, mapping, architecture, to also setting up FHIR infrastructure both in cloud and on premises for startups/corporations/national agencies. Vadim has an eye for detail and quality, and is passionate about healthcare interoperability and FHIR, spending his free time volunteering to improve standards as well as building open-source software such as https://hammer.healthcare (a FHIR instance validator).
